EventFind helps organisers instantly turn Google Forms and event registration links into beautiful, shareable landing pages with QR codes. Perfect for schools, student clubs, non-profits, and community events looking to boost visibility and simplify promotion—no login or coding required.
Project Background
Through community engagement and event organisation experience, I observed that most organisers rely on Google Forms for event registration. However, Google Forms often presents the following issues:
- Event details are densely packed into the form, making the page difficult to read.
- Forms perform poorly in search engines and are hard to discover organically.
- Using full-featured event platforms is often too complex and time-consuming for casual organisers.
To address these pain points, I developed EventFind—a lightweight tool that converts registration forms into visually appealing and searchable event landing pages. It combines automation and AI to extract key details and elevate the sharing experience.
Target User Groups
EventFind is designed for organisers who require speed, simplicity, and discoverability without the overhead of complex platforms. Typical user groups include:
- Schools, universities, and educational institutions
- Student societies and campus clubs
- Non-profit organisations
- Community and grassroots event organisers
- Interest-based groups and online/offline communities
Core Features
- One-click transformation of Google Forms into polished event landing pages.
- AI-powered content extraction to identify and format key information such as event title, date, location, and description.
- Automatic QR code generation for flyers, posters, and offline promotion.
- Support for series-based events—multiple sessions displayed clearly within one landing page.
- A centralised event wall that aggregates all events, boosting discoverability through organic search.
My Role
As the sole product manager and developer, I led the project from concept to execution. My responsibilities included:
- User Research: Conducted interviews and observational studies to understand frustrations with form-based event sharing.
- Product Strategy: Designed the product experience to bridge the gap between informal registration and professional presentation.
- Technical Execution: Built the platform using a fully serverless architecture with KV Storage for speed and simplicity.
- Growth Design: Embedded viral loops (QR code backlinks), future monetisation hooks, and SEO-friendly structures.
Technology and Product Design
- No backend required: The use of KV storage and serverless infrastructure enabled rapid iteration and low operational cost.
- AI-driven enhancement: Extracts and structures form data automatically, enhancing readability.
- SEO-ready: Each event page is indexable, building long-tail search presence.
- Built-in virality: Every landing page and QR code includes subtle EventFind branding to encourage spread.
Outcomes and Future Plans
- Successfully launched an MVP that gained early traction among target users.
- Reduced the time required to create a shareable event page by over 90%.
- Planning to introduce premium features such as custom branding, colour schemes, and event analytics.
- Exploring partnerships with educational institutions, coworking spaces, and community hubs to expand distribution.
